17 May - Departed San Jose (SJO) for Miami (MIA) and then on to Cancun. After immigration and customs walked straight out the terminal to the hourly ADO bus to the Playa del Carmen bus station which is a short walk to the ferry. The cost was $10 per person. The bus and facilities are clean and comfortable. From there the ferry to Cozumel departs every hour on the hour and cost $13. After the 40 minute transit, we picked up the luggage and took a taxi to the Coral Princess. which cost 600 pesos.
NOTE: The rate of exchange for $1 USD was 11.80 pesos at the Coral Princess. f you paid anywhere with US dollars they gave you 11.00.
18 May to 20 May - Enjoyed visiting friends and walking around. The Coral Princess tries to have some activity every night. Happy hour is from 1700 - 1800. Normal price on beer is $4. Different buffets are offered and are good..
21 May - Bernal, Lizbeth, and Marifer arrived early and we relocated to a Princess Villa suite.

2 Jun - Departed to Miami and picked up a Hertz rental car and drove to Bonita Springs and stayed at a Best Western I had booked on Priceline.
16 Jun - Departed Key West early and arrived Mami aroun 1500 and turned in the car. Took the shuttle back to meet up with Sonia and waited for our 1900 boarding of the AA flight which was completely full. Cleared Costa Rica immigrations and customs and a taxi home.
Overall, the vacation went completely as planned and was one of the best trips I have ever taken.

1. Airfare via Taca, American, Continental, Mexican, and other to be determined. If you use miles, you will probably need to travel during the week.
2. Rountrip Ferry to Cozumel ($20), Taxi to Coral Princess ($5), Bus from Playa del Carmen to the airport was $8 and took an hour and 15 minutes. Suggest buying the ticker earlier---the bus was full.
3. Hotel Coral Princess - Cozumel - Bob's member rate per night is as follows:
Studio-Deluxe Jungle View (2 persons).............................. $71.00

NOTE: ROOM RATE IS IN US DOLLARS PLUS 14 PERCENT TAXES PER NIGHT, PER ROOM. EXTRA PERSONS ARE $30.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT PLUS TAXES.
4. If staying in Playa del Carmen, the Hotel Molca is clean and comfortable and located 200 meters from the ferry - 1 night ($55 double) (The price as of 2007). Click here for their website.
5. Xcaret Theme Park was $59 without a discount in 2007. Click here for their website. Discounts are available from different websites including expedia.com. The evening candlelight show was fantastic. Remember to make sure you return for the last ferry or you will need to book into the Molcas or another notel for the night. Taxi to and from was $40 for 8 people.
6. Diving in Cozumel was $65 per two tank dive plus tip. Add to that the cost of rental gear which could add up to another $25 or more. We will dive with both Aqua Safari and Mestizo Divers as space is available. Check out their websites as follows:
